Hey! Keep the
noise down!
Ever wonder why Harry hates coworker Sally? A recent survey of
2,318 employees conducted by Randstad USA gives us a few clues
as to what really bugs us a work.
A condescending tone was the biggest pet peeve, according to
44% of those surveyed. Who can blame them? What’s more
hurtful than dealing with a snotty remark? Well, getting a
public reprimand is right up there, too, according to 37% of
the respondents. (Hello? What management school are bosses
attending these days?)
And close behind are the loud talkers and ringing cell phones
in the office, which a third of the respondents said drove them
nuts. We know you like death metal music, but in the interest
of office harmony, does it really have to be your ring tone?
And maybe you could chew out your client where we can’t
hear you? Let’s give peace a chance.

attention, dang it!
