Arlington
A wind farm is under construction three miles southwest of
Arlington in Gilliam County. PPM Energy of Portland is building
a 69-tower 100-megawatt farm and expects to bring it online by
the fall. The size and scope of the project is similar to that
of the Klondike wind farms in Wasco County. PPM is
seeking permits for a third Klondike farm and is in
construction on its Big Horn wind farm, a 200-megawatt project
across the Columbia River near Bickleton, Wash.
