EUGENE
— An
Oregon arm of the Apollo Alliance, the
nationwide effort to expand clean energy industries, plans to
put a measure on the November Oregon ballot. It picks up where
failed 2005 legislation on biofuels left off and would fund
seven centers statewide for research and job training on
everything from solar panels to new biofuels, according to Dan
Carol, an Apollo Oregon campaign strategist. Carol says funding
could come from state economic development funds.
