OREGON REINVENTS
When Oregon Business
magazine set out in early September on its multi-week Business
is Good tour, we found communities across the state had much in
common: new economies and identities being forged, a rush
toward the green and sustainable and the emergence of vibrant
Main Streets. At the root is a state remaking itself, and how
that is playing out is different in every region. As Wallowa
County Commissioner Ben Boswell famously says: “If
you’ve seen one county in Oregon, you’ve seen one
county in Oregon.” THE
