Oregon Business' 100 Best Companies to Work For in
Oregon is gearing up for a new year:
The magazine will launch a new conference devoted to learning
from the Best on Thursday, September 11 at the Portland Art

To accommodate an even larger group of companies, the survey
for our 2009 list will commence earlier this year, on August
11, and last longer, until October 17. Please update your
calendar.
We are redefining the small category of participants to those
with 15-49 total employees and introducing a medium-sized
category of companies with 50-249 total employees. Large
companies will continue to be defined as having 250 or more
employees.
In addition to the minimum of 15 employees, at least 20% of a
participating company's Oregon workforce will be required to
complete the survey.
As always, there will be no cost to participate. If you have at
least 15 Oregon employees (regardless of headquarters
location), don't miss this opportunity to gain insight into
your employees' perspectives, and benchmark your practices
against other Oregon organizations. All company and employee
information will be kept private.
100 Best schedule:
Sign-up period:
Monday, August 11 through Friday October 3.
Survey period: The
employee and employer surveys will be available online from
Monday, August 18 through Friday, October 17.
Scoring and ranking:
Participants will be notified in late November if they ranked
(though not where) among the 100 Best.
Survey results:
Reports detailing employee satisfaction, priorities and
comments, as well as comparisons against other participants,
will be available in early December to all participants.
100 Best event: The
2009 100 Best Companies will be be revealed in the March issue
of Oregon Business,
released at a dinner event at the Oregon Convention Center,
Thursday, February 26, 2009. 100 Best Companies can use our
logo in marketing and job recruitment.
