Tour hits the road this fall 2007, casting a
spotlight on people, industries and communities
across the state and their unique contributions
to Oregon’s economic vitality.
The Tour’s focus is the future: Oregon
businesses and communities positioning
themselves to be vibrant and competitive in the
years ahead. It will spotlight, in
particular:
Innovation —
stories of invention and reinvention, of
companies creating new products and adding new
value to existing ones, of communities
revitalizing around new opportunity.
Sustainable
practices — models of doing more
with less, of leveraging the least resources
for greatest benefit within companies, within
communities.
Branding —
strategies for positioning and marketing
products, businesses and communities and
developing that most essential asset:
brand.
Finding these models across the state,
showcasing them and disseminating ideas to a
broad Oregon audience is the Tour’s
mission, with the aim of spurring more
successes and building an economically stronger
state.
